The inaugural Jackadder DF95 Cup event was held on October 11th with 17 entrants, plenty of sun and and one of the better winds (even though our visitors di not agree!) we have experienced in a while. Being a ranking event, the first at Jackadder for many years, it was used as a rehearsal for the DF State Championships which are scheduled for 8/9th November and we are confident the State Championships will go off without a hitch.
Despite the flukey winds experienced on the water, the general direction remained at south westerly and the PRO, Robbie Mews, did a great job in keeping the action moving. A good number of volunteers from PRSC ranks assisted with Event Manager Dave Odlum providing all the logistic support and overseeing the scoring. With only two and a half hours to run the event, the PRO chose to run a single fleet rather than the HMS as there simply was not the time and he managed to get through 9 races, thus providing the contestants with two drops. The outright winner, yet again providing a masterclass in radio sailing, was Nick Jerwood of Wanderers with Craig Taylor from PRSC in second and John Cole-Cook from Tasmania in third.

Winner - Nick Jerwood 2nd - Craig Taylor 3rd - John Cole-Cook
