A field of 25 of Australia's best IOM sailors fought the conditions and each other to manage 17 races in each of 3 fleets during the 4 days of very varied conditions, under Bruce Robins' very capable stewardship as PRO. Young Alex Scapens certainly had the big guns of Sean and Paul looking worried as he took top spot for 6 races and podium finishes for 5 others. Some very tight racing under sometimes frustratingly light and flukey conditions but at least a day and a half of good south westerlies took away the pain.
