As affiliated club of the Australian Radio Yachting Association (ARYA), Perth Radio Sailing Club and its members are obligated to abide by the ARYA Standard Sailing instructions. Click here to download a copy or from the ARYA website http://www.radiosailing.org.au/ PRSC also operates a rotating PRO on club sailing days, unless we have a volunteer to co-ordinate the sailing. PRSC highly recommends that each member have a good understanding of the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing for 2005-2008 (RRS) as changed by appendix E of the RRS - Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules. The club understands this takes time to learn but we highly recommend each member dedicating time to learning these rules as it will improve your sailing. If your not sure about an interpretation ask one or a number of the members and have rule book available during the discussion. Everyone can and does learn something new. PRSC also encourages a friendly atmosphere, even in the heat of battle we can behave like gentlemen. Mixed Fleet RacingOn days when Ten Raters or A Class are programmed, members who have One Meter boats are welcome to attend and sail. Normally we will have two starts, with the programmed class starting first, and the One meters starting one minute afterwards. If possible, it is ideal to have the two fleets rounding different marks, but this cannot always be done. It is expected that the One Meter class should make all attempts to sail clear of the principle class for the day, giving them the right-of way.
