After being delayed by a week a small fleet of the elegant A Class yachts hit the water at Jackadder in a light WNW breeze.
It was an overcast day with showers threatening and with just enough breeze to get through the water, racing commenced on time under the control of RO Bruce Robins.
Jeff Green's boat looked a million dollars sporting a nice new grey paint job and with his Sword design was definately a contender to win the trophy and was in it right til the end.
While Jeff traded wins with both Denton Roberts and Graeme Howie, at the end of the day it was Howie sailing his Wombat design that claimed the Eric Fisher Memorial Trophy finishing on 16pts, three points ahead of Green with Roberts a further five points back.
